BOTOX & FILLERS
Botox injection is the number #1 cosmetic Pre-juvenation procedure performed in the world. At Fresh Start Skincare & Laser all patients who come in for Botox are thoroughly evaluated and consulted by a registered nurse under the supervision of Dr. Howard Kessleman.
We’ll developed an appropriate treatment plan based on the patient’s’ individual needs and wants. Then determine the best injectable treatments for facial wrinkles and volumizing using dermal fillers such as Restylane, Juvederm, Voluma, Botox, and Dysport.
The wrinkles are created due to repeated contractions of the muscles while making facial expressions. Botox can prevent the formation of these wrinkles; therefore, many young adults are getting Botox at an early age.
If you are suffering from sagging eyebrow or an eyelid, if you wish to get a browlift without surgery get evaluated to see if Botox is the right choice for you.
Yes, male patients are the fastest growing group of consumers for Botox. The wrinkled, weathered Marlboro man look as sexy, is rapidly become a thing of the past. Men are reaching for a healthier distinguished look and Botox is their answer. No longer is it considered just for women, but a treatment providing a professional and personal edge.
Botox is a botulinum toxin. A neurotoxin causes temporary muscle relaxation. It all starts with a nerve telling a muscle to contract. This causes the overlying skin to scrunch up. With time and repeated contractions, the skin begins to thin at certain points and a wrinkle is born.
Typically, Botox takes 10 to 14 days to see the full effect.
The risk of bruising with Botox is higher in someone with a history of bleeding disorder. If you are on a blood thinner, then you are high risk for bruising. Some areas of the face have more veins and capillaries, hence can cause small bruising. If this is a concern, we suggest a pre and post use of Arnica.
Botox is safe but it can cause very rare side effects such as a headache, drooping of an eyebrow or an eyelid, difficulty swallowing and blurry vision.
Injectable - Fillers
While BOTOX blocks signals to the muscles, fillers like Juvéderm, Juvéderm Voluma® XC, and Radiesse are used to add volume and hydration to hollowed areas of the face while promoting the production of collagen. In doing so, they can also reduce and prevent wrinkling while adding a much smoother and more youthful element to your look. Though fillers all share a similar function, each has its own distinct strengths and weaknesses.
Juvéderm is a popular new filler comprised of hyaluronic acid, which is a natural yet potent hydration filler used to add volume and smoothness to the face. This injectable is generally most effective around the mouth, nose, and forehead.
Voluma XC, also made by Juvéderm, provides a subtle lift that can last up to two years and is used mostly around the mid-face or cheek region.
Radiesse is another long-lasting filler that helps to correct smile lines and other wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Instead of hyaluronic acid like Juvéderm, Radiesse is comprised of tiny calcium-based microspheres that act as robust pillars to restore facial volume and reduce surface lines.
The Microneedling works with the body’s own natural rejuvenation processes producing new collagen and elastin. Produce smoother, more youthful skin. Micro-Needling is used in combination with PRP, Hyaluronic Acid, Peptides or Growth Factors to hydrate and re-epithelialize the skin.
